Christmas Traditions
Barcelona (and I think Catalunya at large) has some interesting holiday traditions, both of which involve feces.
First off, in every nativity set sold at the Christmas market in front of the cathedral (which is huge…lots of Nativity sets), a figure is hidden in the scene who is pooping.
Secondly, there exists this happy holiday log animal that children run around and hit with sticks and instruct to “poop out the presents.”
This information comes from two very reliable sources, but all seems a little too, well, vulgar, to be true. I’ll have to investigate further.
